Corporate volunteering for charity is a win-win

DATE: 30 MAY 2017

In May Sky Bet, the online bookmaker and long-term supporter of New Beginnings organised a team of volunteers as part of its annual volunteer day initiative to help the charity prepare new premises for a move to bigger and better facilities.

The annual volunteering event is the brainchild of Michael Shinners, Horse Racing PR Manager for Sky Bet and Trustee of New Beginnings Horses. Along with fundraising events, collection buckets and raceday parades of some of their resident star names – MISTER MCGOLDRICK, NANTON and relative newcomer CHIL THE KITE among others – the charity relies on contributions from its many supporters including York and Pontefract racecourses, the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), feed company Fibre-Beet and Sky Bet.

All help is gratefully received by New Beginnings whether individual, corporate or a simple donation. Please don't hesitate to Get in Touch to find out more. Thank you.

"As a small breeder of thoroughbreds and an owner of racehorses I am proud to be a Patron of New Beginnings. As a horsewoman myself, I can fully endorse the care and empathy shown to these magnificent horses. The dedication, passion and commitment given by Pam and Kevin to the welfare of all the horses in their care is second to none. The Racing Industry is lucky to have their support."
